World AIDS Day 2008 was a tremendous success!  Thank you to our sponsors, Nordstrom, MAC Cosmetics, ConocoPhillips, Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, Municipal Light and Power, and the Zonta Club of Anchorage; to our in-kind supporters, D'zine Alaska and Starbucks; to TBA Theatre for providing entertainment at the showing of Rent, and to the 225+ businesses and organizations in Anchorage and Juneau that hosted red ribbon cans.

And thank you to all who came out to attend events in Anchorage and Juneau and to everyone who wore a red ribbon on December 1st to symbolize support for those affected by HIV/AIDS. 

 

                            

Volunteers hit the streets the morning of December 1st holding signs and waving to morning traffic to let everyone know it was World AIDS Day.

 

                    

(Left to Right) Over 55 individuals attended the Annual Candlelight Vigil in Anchorage and 75 individuals attended the showing of Rent and the panel discussion following the film.

  Remember to wear your ribbon not only on World AIDS Day, but everyday.
