FOOD BANK
***We are currently in need of dry and canned goods for our supplemental food bank. Please consider bringing some food to benefit our HIV positive clients and families. You can drop off donated canned goods to 1057 W. Fireweed Lane, Suite 102. Four A's maintains a "bank" of food and personal hygiene items to assist clients who are in need. This "bank" is possible because of the generosity of individuals, churches and civic organizations, on-going financial support from Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Foundation and donations for nutritional supplements from various pharmaceutical companies.
Four A’s provides free lunches Monday through Thursday each week (excluding holidays) for clients who are physically limited in their ability to independently carry out normal food preparation. Lunches are provided by Providence Alaska Medical Center. Lunches are delivered between 11:30 and 1 p.m.
Eligibility:
A. Must be an active client of the Alaskan AIDS Assistance Association, with all required documentation current (documentation will be determined by specific program/funding sources).
B. “Meal Program Verification” form completed by his/her doctor.
C. Financial resources are not a consideration for eligibility.
A client can remain on the meal program for up to 30 weeks. If the client requires the meal program after the 30 weeks, s/he is required to get a new “Meal Program Verification” form completed by his/her doctor.
FRIDAY LUNCH
Every Friday, from noon- 1 p.m., the Four A's hosts a lunch for clients, their families, and friends of the Four A's. Different organizations throughout the community provide the food each week. If you or your organization is interested in being a Friday Lunch sponsor, call (907) 263-2050.
