HIV Prevention and Education Specialist - Juneau
Four A’s is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and organized individual to fill the part-time position of HIV Prevention and Education Specialist in the Four A’s Juneau office. The HIV Prevention and Education Specialist manages all prevention services in an effort to reduce the transmission of HIV and its stigma. Prevention activities include HIV rapid testing, HIV education and outreach, and operation of the Juneau-based Four A’s Syringe Access Program (FASAP).
This position requires the ability to communicate with the public, clients and staff in a pleasant, tactful way; be proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry into various databases; ability to work with a team; and, maintain confidentiality. Prefer a Bachelor degree in health education, social services, or related field and a minimum of two-years’ experience in a customer service position that works with diverse populations. Past experience working with people who experience HIV/AIDS, substance abuse issues, behavioral health issues, or opioid addiction is a plus.
